Whew! These past few weeks have been crazy! From work (Tiger’s back!?) to the wedding (whoop!??) and everything in between (taxes??) but I wanted to share a bit of my bachelorette weekend with you!
Everyone seems to complain about “adulting” (tax season, am I right??) but I think you should embrace every phase of your life and I’m loving being engaged.
Planning the wedding has been fun and who doesn’t love to throw multiple parties with your closest friends?! Last weekend Tiger Woods took off — so, darn it! I did too!?
My bridesmaids, mom & aunt came down from St. Louis to join up with a few of my closest Florida girlfriends and threw me the BEST bachelorette party a girl could ask for. What happens at Teryn’s Bachelorette Party, stays at Teryn’s Bachelorette Party but there’s no reason why I can’t share some of the fun!??
Getting to show a few of them Jacksonville for the first time — the crew flew in Thursday afternoon from the cold, so I took them straight to the beach! We sipped fruity drinks by the ocean at Lemon Bar and had dinner at Flying Iguana in Atlantic Beach before heading back to my place and catching up in a classic girlfriend’s sleepover.
Road Trip! Friday morning we loaded up in a giant van I rented for the weekend and road-tripped it down to Jupiter, FL, for St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training. It was so good to be back on my old stomping grounds, with my girls and a few hundred fellow Cards Fans❤️⚾️
I think Guanabana’s for dinner was the girl’s favorite part of the trip. You just don’t get an atmosphere like that anywhere else. Surrounded by tiki huts dotting the docks, we had some of the best food of our trip and ate dinner in our own little cove as the moonlight reflected off the sparkling water. Each of the girls shared their favorite memories with me and we had a blast reminiscing.
The hit of the weekend though was a cardboard cutout of my fiancé. It got all the attention everywhere we went and Square Grouper was the perfect setting for it after Guanabana’s??
Saturday we loaded back up in the van and headed back north. I spent the rest of the weekend showing them some of my favorite spots around Old Town St. Augustine (hello Peace Pie!) and Jacksonville Beach.
How else does a group of girls cap off a spectator weekend, you ask? Brunch of course! (Brunch is always the right answer.) I HAD to take them to TPC Sawagrass – the site of my engagement photos. I’ll admit, most of them didn’t really know what the place was but you can’t ignore its grandiose beauty and I don’t think some of their husbands would have let them come home without TPC merch? But they loved it! And there are few better places than the back patio on a gorgeous spring day.
I can’t thank the girls enough for a spectacular weekend! The wedding is fast approaching and my shower is just a few weeks away! Stay tuned!
